Pailton Engineering has added three new employees to the team in line with the company’s continued development and Lean transformation. All three appointments are external hires for newly created roles, meaning the company can continue to advance with new skills sets, furthering the company’s growth and development.
Rob McDermott takes on the role of purchasing manager, with a cornerstone role in coordinating all purchasing related activity in the business. The role will also require the development and maintenance of professional working relationships with suppliers, as well as ensuring Pailton’s ISO/TS 16949 requirements are met in relation to purchasing and supply chain activities.
Roger Brereton joins as head of sales, bringing his previous experience in the automotive sector to his new role. He will be responsible for maximising new business opportunities while maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships and streamlining the front end sales process.
Dave Randle, again from the automotive sector, takes on the role of new business development manager. His role will involve working closely with technical staff and other colleagues to ensure the needs of customers are met. This role will be key to developing new business opportunities and helping to present innovative new products and designs as part of the product continuous improvement process.
“The new appointments come as part of the transformation we are currently undergoing at Pailton,” said Cy Wilkinson, managing director at Pailton Engineering. “As our business continues to transform, with a new shop floor layout and investment in capital equipment, it makes sense that we bring in some new talent to add to our expert team. I’m confident that the new hires will play a key role in our improvement journey.”
